Southampton Super-Pod is delighted to share a couple of big bits of news.

Firstly, we’ve got ourselves a confirmed venue! The fine folks at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton have given us complimentary use of a suite, so that’s where you’ll find us for the weekend. The room can seat approximately 40 people, so if anyone wants to come along and watch their favourite podcast in action then you will be able to do so. We’ll also be taking donations in person for those coming down and wishing to give Comic Relief some monkey. Massive thanks to Ashleigh and the De Vere team for arranging this for us, it’s hugely appreciated.

We’re also pleased to announce that we will be joined in March by Rick & Paul Heal the World. Rick & Paul will be heading down to the South Coast for a live version of their hit podcast, which you can check out at On their weekly show the boys take a topic and each come up with an idea on how to improve it, competing against each other and a listener submission in a public vote. We’re hoping that in this special live version we will get submissions from the Super-Pod listeners as well as instant Social Media feedback. If you can think of anything you’d like Rick & Paul to heal, let us know!

One thing we are still searching for is a couple of international podcasts to come on and co-host some overnight shows with us. While most of the UK is sleeping we will still be broadcasting and what better way to keep us going than to be joined by some great podcasts from around the globe? So if you’re part of a podcast in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa… or, you know, anywhere else in the world where the time difference is big enough that it’ll be your daytime… why not drop us a message?

For now, from all of those involved in the Super-Pod, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we’ll be back with more updates in 2017 as the countdown to our event really kicks in!
