Football Book Club

Football Book Club

Sat. 9pm

Forget the latest bestsellers or Booker Prize winners! Our book club get stuck into the true forgotten classics of literature – footballers’ autobiographies.

Join comedy writers James Bugg, Jack Bernhardt, Amy Lawson and James Boughen (Horrible Histories, Dead Ringers, Shooting Stars) as they shun classic prose in favour of football pros, by reading another obscure, unappreciated or downright dodgy autobiography every week.

For people who like their reading a little less Dickens, a little more Dickov.

One of Esquire’s best podcasts of 2019. Featured in Football365 and The Athletic. And Jason McAteer likes us.

We’re family friendly, not too serious and completely unprofessional. This may be the weirdest podcast you’ll ever hear.

And for SuperPod we’re dragging ourselves out of retirement for one more charity gig. Join Al, Ed and whoever else we can rope in (definitely not Kitty) for an hour of live fun!

Conversation will flow freely in a disorderly fashion, so why not grab a cup of biscuits and an artichoke, sit back, and listen to the nonsensical ramblings of this pesky duo of duos. Slightly skewed and super-strange, John and Andy will keep you confused for a half hour at a time – that’s the DredgeLand promise. Or is it?
